The accomplishment of GulfRun3 in 2007 set the stage for GulfRun4 in 2008; the racers from Kuwait were back with double the cars, events and participants from the previous year. In addition to implementing further events such as inner circuit and auto cross time attack; GulfRun4 inaugurated the first GulfRun car show at Marina Mall. The car show was created to bring together participating drivers, car enthusiasts and the general public interested about automobiles in Kuwait; before heading off to Bahrain for GulfRun4.

The cars that took part in GulfRun4 couldn’t be any different; starting with the Mini Cooper S, Lotus Exige S 240 and Honda S2000. The next level up is a healthy showing of BMW M3s, Mitsubishis Evos, Porsche Carreras and the new Lexus ISF; which is one of the first to reach Kuwait. There is no lack of power at the top of the food chain; with several Porsche Turbos and Noble M400s coming back for another year to retain their standings from GulfRun3. In addition to the returning champions, GulfRun4 also introduced the Nissan GTR, Porsche GT2 (997), Ferrari F430 Scuderia and Dodge Viper making their first appearance at this year’s event.
