Force India took the top spot today with Nico Hülkenberg behind the wheel. The second day of testing in Barcelona saw the Hulk on top throughout, with Sergio Pérez following him closely for second. Yesterday’s top driver, Sebastian Vettel, had to settle for third.
Meanwhile, Vitaly Petrov had his first day in the Caterham, completing 69 laps overall and finishing second from last. Only Marussia were behind, and they finished over 100 laps. Long runs were the order of the day, with Force India, Red Bull and McLaren also topping the century.
Passed by Marina Mall Seaside to check out Concours d’Elegance 2012 and was astonished with what I saw. The variety and exclusiveness of the cars that attended was mind blowing, cars included a 1927 Ford Model T, a 1937 Bugatti 57S, a 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster Atalante, a 1966 Lamborghini 350GT, a 1965 Ferrari 365GTS Daytona Spider and many more. Mubarak Al-Rumaidhi from Traction Off team takes 1st place at the Red Bull Drift Competition in Kuwait, qualifying for the finals in Beirut. Mubarak did incredibly well throughout the competition and made a near perfect final round taking home 1st place, Mubarak was just a joy to watch. Finishing in a close 2nd was Sami Haider who is also on the Traction Off team, and 3rd was Dhari Al Shimari who gave us a very good show with his Altima. Congratulations to Mubarak for his incredible performance, we wish him best of luck for the finals in Beirut!

The GulfRun hosted a ceremony to congratulate and award the top drivers who did exeptionally well at GulfRun 7. There were many surprises this year with amazing performances from many new drivers, as the competition was closer than ever with marginal differences in lap times. GulfRun 7 was a huge success thanks to everyone involved. See you at GulfRun 8!

GulfRun 7 held at Bahrain International Circuit on the 26th and 27th of January ended with great success. The circuit was filled with activities for visitors to enjoy, including Taxi rides around the track with Westfield track cars, Audi R8s, and Lamborghinis, a chill area with a DJ spinning some awesome beats, and many restaurants for everyone to enjoy. Around 60 drivers participated to compete for the GulfRun title putting their cars to the limit around 6 different challenges. Drivers were challenged on the Bahrain GP circuit, inner circuit, autocross, drag, and new for GulfRun 7, the outer circuit and a Karting race. For the second year in a row, Sami Haidar was able to dominate the track with unbeatable track times with his well built Corvette Z06 and his incredible driving skills. GulfRun 7 also saw lots of new participants doing very well with GTRs, Corvettes, and Evos. We would like to thank all participants for joining, all who helped, and all our sponsors for making GulfRun 7 happen. We can’t wait for GulfRun 8 to come..

Inner Circuit.
This is a great video of an onboard camera in a V8 Supercar racing around Bahrain GP Inner Circuit. I highly advise watching this video more than ounce to give you an idea of the racing line and braking points of the track. Not every car will have the exact same braking point, but this should be a good guide for you to start with.
The GulfRun 7 Car Show was held at the 360 Mall giving spectators and fans a taste of what the GulfRun is all about. Awesome cars that are participating were on display, a DJ spinning some records, and a great crowd made the perfect weekend hangout for all petrol heads. All drivers are now ready for the main challenge at the Bahrain GP track, make sure to join us for an awesome ride!

The GulfRun 7 Car Show on the 13th and 14th of Jan will take place at 360 Mall where all the incredible cars competing will be on display for you to check out, before they head off to Bahrain for the main event on the 26th and 27th of Jan. Everyone is more than welcome to join us at the Bahrain track to watch the cars going full throttle, and take a taxi ride around the track at maximum speed. Be sure to be there on these events to ensure your required supply of adrenaline..
